Notice of Spring Hydrant Flushing

2026 Spring Hydrant Flushing Dates:

May 11th – May 15th

Hydrants are flushed twice per year by the Village of Theresa to help remove sediment, iron, and other minerals that settle in some of our water mains. Flushing hydrants also allows us to make sure all fire hydrants in our system are working properly.

When flushing hydrants, it is possible some residents may notice discoloration in their water. If you see the crew working in your area, you may run your cold water tap for about 10 minutes and the discoloration should disappear. Do not be alarmed by any discoloration, as this is not harmful. After 30 minutes to an hour, all discoloration will subside as the water main has a chance to settle down.

If you have any questions, please contact Public Works at 920-488-4003. Thank you.
