Village of Theresa *-* Winter Parking: Village of Theresa All-Night Parking *-* Alternate Parking November 1st to April 1st    Village of Theresa Ordinance 337-20(c) No person, except EMS, police & physicians on emergency calls, shall park any vehicle for a period of time longer than 30 minutes between the hours of 2:00am & 6:00am of any day between November 1st & April 1st on Milwaukee Street from the north Village limits to the south Village limits.   On all other streets, there shall be alternate parking as follows; on days having even calendar numbers, parking will be on the side of the street with even house numbers & on odd numbered days, parking shall be on the side of the street with odd house numbers. A permit will be required for anyone parking on the street overnight. Please note that parking is checked after midnight! Alternate parking rules will apply.   A winter parking permit can be purchased for $35.00 per vehicle. Due to Covid precautions, the Village Hall will remain closed to the public until further notice. Therefore, a completed application form which can be found on the “Forms & Permits” page  at www.villageoftheresa.com & check payment of $35.00 per vehicle (checks payable to the Village of Theresa) should be placed  in the “payments” box located outside the Village Hall. We will process your request & mail the permit to you.    The Police Department requests your voluntary compliance in obtaining a permit. The Village of Theresa is seeking a summer grounds maintenance employee. Hours may vary but typically range from 20 – 40 hours a week.  Applicants must be a motivated self-starter, who takes pride in their work while working in an outdoor environment most of the time.  Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 16 years of age. Past experience operating lawn mowers and string trimmers is required.  

Weekly hours are flexible, but preference will be given to employees available during normal Public Works hours, 7:00am to 3:30pm. 

The position requires the worker to perform a variety of physical tasks including, string trimming, raking, mowing, painting, staining, cleaning, and other tasks to ensure that the grounds of the Village are kept attractive and orderly.  Wages will be $11.90/hr depending on experience.
